ZertoCON 2020: Can’t-Miss Sessions
Your guide to the biggest sessions at this year’s virtual ZertoCON
Facing uncertain times, resilience is more important than ever before. We at Zerto know a thing or two about resilience—that’s why ZertoCON went virtual for the first time this year. While we may not have had the chance to meet in person, we packed ZertoCON 2020 with hours of informative sessions, insightful discussions, and exciting announcements. Read on to experience some of the highlights of this year’s Virtual ZertoCON.
ZertoCON Keynotes—Welcome & Product Roadmap
ZertoCON 2020 started in style, with CEO Ziv Kedem extending a warm, virtual welcome in the Kickoff and Welcome session. He begins by confirming what we’re all feeling—that we live in difficult times. The Zerto IT Resilience Platform, however, is ready to help. Listen as Ziv shares a few uplifting success stories from the past year, as well as the winners of this year’s MSP and Reseller awards. And with that, ZertoCON 2020 is off!
In the Product Strategy and Roadmap Keynote, CMO Gil Levonai and Chief Architect Oded Kedem share our strategy for the Zerto IT Resilience Platform in the coming year, which of course means starting with our continued commitment to unifying disaster recovery, hybrid cloud, and backup in our single, resilient solution. Next, they share our vision for expanding that solution everywhere: by joining customers in extending support to next-gen applications, specifically Kubernetes and containers. We’ll achieve this by ensuring next-gen applications are protected with the same simple, continuous, and enterprise-class capabilities that are the foundation of the IT Resilience Platform.
Moving Forward Together
We couldn’t address the issues that we face this year without discussing the pandemic that continues to change the way that we—and our partners and customers—do business. In the breakout session Weathering the COVID-19 Storm, Senior Director Erwin Visser examines how our unique position as a platform and tools provider lets us enable businesses to adapt to the challenges of COVID-19. He breaks down a three-step plan that includes maintaining immediate continuity, planning for what’s to come, and eventually shaping the future by realizing new opportunities for growth. Additionally, learn how our strategic partner Microsoft is enabling businesses all around the world to transition to a work-from-home model easily and securely, and how Zerto plays a role in making that change a reality.
Getting Technical—Zerto 101 & Follow the IO
While there were many exciting developments announced at ZertoCON, it was also a great time to learn the specifics about how the IT Resilience Platform works. Join Systems Engineer Walter Sacco in the breakout session Zerto 101: A Technical Intro to the IT Resilience Platform and see exactly what makes our platform unique. Learn technical details about the four key advantages of our platform: our agentless, always-on Continuous Replication; the Journal that allows for recovery granularity of seconds; application consistency across multiple VMs; and simplicity at scale though built-in orchestration, automation, and analytics tools.
On a similar note, make sure to check out Chief Architect Oded Kedem in the Follow the IO breakout session to explore the inner workings of the replication process that sets our IT Resilience Platform apart. Learn how your data is journaled using our First In/First Out (FIFO) structure, how the platform enables non-disruptive failover testing, and how we achieve superior synchronization without relying on dated snapshots—as well as how all of this is achieved in a public cloud environment.
