Zerto Channel Partners and Customers Participate in Bay Area Charity Golf Event to Benefit Animal Rescue Foundation
BC/DR Software Experts Help Animals in Need to Recover and Thrive With Vital Shelter Funding
Boston, MA – August 2, 2016 – Zerto, setting the standard for protection, recovery and migration of data in cloud and virtualized data centers, today announced its annual Bay Area charity golf event has benefited the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF). Business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) software experts from Zerto’s channel partner ecosystem and customer organizations teed off on July 28, 2016 at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links Resort in Half Moon Bay, CA to help animals in need to recover and thrive with vital shelter funding. Nearly 100 attendees participated in the tournament and silent auction.
“The foundation of our business is based on helping others recover from disasters and when combined with our ‘pay it forward’ mind-set we found close alignment with the mission of ARF, and wanted to uphold one of our core corporate values of leveraging teamwork to help others,” said Paul Zeiter, President of Zerto. “Animals provide a fulfilling personal connection with many wonderful benefits all around, which Zerto is proud to support such a worthwhile and highly esteemed organization to align with this cause.”
Co-founded in 1991 by Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, Tony La Russa, and his wife, Elaine, ARF’s core mission is to rescue dogs and cats that have run out of time at public shelters, giving them a chance at life until a new home can be found. ARF couples this focus with innovative programs that strengthen the human-animal bond experience for children, seniors, veterans, and people in disadvantaged circumstances.
“Giving hope to animals in need and matching them with loving companions is an important cause, and we’re truly grateful when champions such as Zerto step up to the plate to lend a helping hand,” said Elena Bicker, Executive Director of ARF. “Without noteworthy contributions such as the one generated by Zerto’s Bay Area charity golf event, the critical support ARF provides to animals in need is at risk and I’m thankful when others help those most vulnerable and least able to help themselves.”
