Day 1 at ZertoCON 2017: Hands-on Labs, Training & Partner Day

May 23, 2017
Est. Reading Time: 2 minutes

Day 1 at ZertoCON 2017 got off to an exciting start! At 7:30am a line of eager attendees waited to get into advanced training and our exclusive Partner Day event. Below is a brief recap, with much more to come as day 2 kicks off with keynote from Zerto’s CEO, Ziv Kedem, and many technical and future-focused sessions.

Hands-on Labs & Training:

Every day at ZertoCON is about learning, but perhaps none more so than Day One: hands-on labs, online certifications, and instructor-led training made ZertoCON the place to be on Monday. The highlight was the debut of Zerto Certified Professional (ZCP) Advanced, where over 100 customers and partners took part in an intensive all-day boot camp to deepen their ZVR expertise. We learned the Four C’s of troubleshooting, how to auto-commit like a pro, and even the difference between a feature and a bug tweak. Nearly 75 people joined the two great sessions of ZCP Basic, and the labs saw participants do upwards of 200 failovers & tests. Huge thanks to our lab sponsors, OnX and iLand, for making sure our hands-on labs are yet again a success! Instructor-led training wrapped today, but there’s still time to head to room #302 on Tuesday and Wednesday to try the Azure, vSphere, and AWS labs or take online self-paced training in myZerto University.

Partner Day:

The very first ever Partner Day was held on Monday and it was a BLAST! The morning kicked off with an amazing keynote from our very own President Paul Zeiter, who talked about our firm commitment to the channel and the phenomenal opportunity for partners with Zerto. After that, a Forrester analyst Stephanie Balaouras, Vice President, Research Director Serving Security & Risk Professionals, dazzled the crowd with an overview of Zerto and the IT Resilience market.

The day continued with Mariah West, Director Global Partner Marketing, giving partners an in-depth roadmap on how to build their business with the Zerto Alliance Partner (ZAP) Program. Christina Bauer, Partner Marketing Manager, and Darren Swift, Zerto’s Principal Systems Engineer, closed out the day by reviewing the Zerto Business Case Builder online tool, which is a great way to write proposals that clients LOVE.

*All of the Partner Day presentations will be posted to our web site soon. Stay tuned!
