Failover

Can anyone point me to any detailed documents of where I can find information on what exactly what is occurring behind the scenes on each step of a fail-over? – I am looking for fine details of what is occurring at each stage listed below.

1. Fail-over is initiated of VPG
2. Failing over before commit (Preparing and checking the VPG virtual machines in the recovery site)
3. Committing Failover (Failing over the VPG – If no reverse protection is selected the following occurs – Update VPG is skipped)
4. Update VPG
5. Handle Mirror Promotion (Update VM’s in VPG with data from Journal)
6. Activate All Mirrors
