Settings for date and time format

I was looking at something the other day and the date was displayed as 07/08/2015 and I drove my self crazy for a quick minute trying to figure out why the date was a month behind! Only to remember oh yeah, it’s day/month/year. It would also it would be nice to have a 12 hour time format.

I know it’s because the rest of the world uses an incorrect date and time format. /s

But seriously if there was a setting to define the format you like that would be nice, unless there is already a setting somewhere that I’m missing.
