Dear support,
a colleague is going to upgrade an application and needs to take a snapshot for security reason.
i can understand that if the process run smoothly i just have to delete the snapshot and zerto will be fine.
BUT if he has to move/return to the snapshot, what about the zerto ?
thank you
Hello Dimitris,
Mike from Zerto here. In order to ensure consistency after reverting a protected VM to a snapshot, you will need to perform a Force Sync on the VPG that contains that VM. For directions on how to perform a Force Sync, please see the following link:
I thought this condition (snapshot revert) was automatically detected in later versions of Zerto so that the force sync happens automatically?
Hello Connie,
The snapshot revert is automatically detected, which produces a warning stating a VM has been reverted to a snapshot and a Force Sync is needed, but a Force Sync is not automatically triggered.
