ZCA or Cloud Simple

I am looking to setup on prem replication to Azure. Are there two option to accomplish this using either:

– Cloud simple in azure with Zerto (ZCA not needed)

– ZCA deployed directly on Azure

I am assuming the differences are Zerto running in a VMware environment within Azure vs. Zerto running on hyperV within Azure.

Are these two comparisons correct and is one method preferred over the other?
