Dedicated or shared VRA vlan?
The forum ‘Support Q & A’ is closed to new topics and replies.
I’m opening this question on behalf of Pablo Venturini,
“Does the vlan being used by the VRA’s need to be dedicated to only Zerto replication traffic? Or can that vlan be used for other purposes? I looked through other posts and documentation but couldn’t find an answer to this..”
thank you Itamar for creating this forum post for me.
Hi Pablo,
Chris from Zerto Support here.
You can have the VRA VLAN shared with other non-VRA traffic but doing so may affect replication performance if too much bandwidth is consumed.
It is recommended that VRAs have a dedicated VLAN as they handle the replication traffic.
