OS Upgrade on Zerto Database

What would be better way to upgrade Operating System (Windows) on Zerto SQL Database Servers:- Should we go for InPlace Upgrade or should we built new server and migrate sql to new Server?

- Before you do SQL Software upgrade please check Zerto Support Matrix. Please check page 41 about SQL software supporting the ZVM version.

- Make sure to take a snapshot of the SQL Server VM and ZVM server before doing an upgrade.
Option 1:

Upgrade SQL software and Windows OS on the existing SQL server. This option you don’t have to worry about SQL user credential and modify ZVM configuration(storage_properties.xml).

Option 2.

Migrating From One Microsoft SQL Server to Another.

The Microsoft SQL does have a database migration tool. You might want to check Microsoft. Please check below link:
