Issue while creating VPG

  • Hello team,

I got following error while creating new VPG –

    ‘Failed to add disk ‘scsi0:4’

The file specified is not a virtual disk.

Cannot open the disk ‘file name’ or one the snapshot disks it depends on.

    failed to power on ‘scsi0:4”

Please let me know if you need any other details.

    Best regards

    Hi,

    This is Kalsang from Zerto.

Zerto doesn’t like replicating snapshots, especially If the file specified is not a virtual disk.

You would have to remove it and see If you can create VPG without it.

    Best regards,

    Hello Team,

Thank you so much for your response. I have checked in VMware and found that there are no snapshots attached to the VMs which i am including for VPGs. Is there any other possible reason for this issue?

    Best regards

But did you actually check in the VM and see if that disk does exist? It’s not a virtual disk then did VMware tell you what is it?
