vSphere Compute Cluster Reservations
The forum ‘Support Q & A’ is closed to new topics and replies.
Hi All,
We have a customer that has two geographical sites that they use for both production and Disaster Recovery of VMs with Zerto. They only have one vSphere cluster at each site which so the cluster is used for both production and DR. From a capacity management standpoint, Is there a way that Zerto can reserve compute on a vSphere cluster automatically so In the event of a DR scenario and VMs are failed over that there is enough compute resources available? Currently, we do cluster capacity management and forecasting manually and would like to automate this process without oversimplifying this. If not, It would be an absolute great feature to add to the product from a day 2 operational perspective.
Daniel
You can use resource pools in VMware for this.
