I’m migrating Hyper-V VMs to VMware and when the cutover happens the Hyper-V VM doesn’t power down when the VMware host is powered up. Should/Can I just power down the Hyper-V host prior to migrating it to avoid conflict? Am I missing a step? I do select “Power Down host” when I migrate. I also retain the source VM if that is an issue. Note, it did seem to work with some of the VMs just not all of them.
Zerto should power off the source VM for you… However, you can still manually power down the source VM before perform migration. I did that and no problem with my migration task at all.
