Compatibility concerns with Zerto
The forum ‘VMware’ is closed to new topics and replies.
Hello Experts,
We’re using Zerto for replication between two sites, with one site running Zerto version 9.0 U4 (running on vSphere 6.7 Env)and the other on version 9.5 U4 (running on vSphere 7.0 U3 Env). We’re wondering if there could be any compatibility issues during replication or failover due to the different versions. Although we’re planning to update the versions soon, we want to ensure the process isn’t affected in the meantime. Could you provide any guidance on how to proceed to ensure a smooth replication and failover operation?
Thanks in advance for your help!
no compatibility issues as such
the only thing you will need to consider is the VM hardware Version must be supported at the target site – so make sure you don’t upgrade the Hardware Version on your VMs to an unsupported version if you need to failback to a site that is a lower compatibility
Regards
Chris
