Can Retention recover at any time?

    For example,

    Main & DR sites are destoryed for any reason and I wanna recover the VMs with using Retention.

    Can I recover VMs?

     

    On my labs, I failed to recover using Retention folders(backups, images, pools, etc.)  after ZVM 6.5 reinstalled.

    Hello Jinmyung,

    Are you referring to the Long Term Retention feature?

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to reconnect to a repository if a DR site has been destroyed: “Reconnecting to a repository is not supported.”
