    • Zerto compatible with Simplivity

The only info I see regarding Zerto compatible with HPE Simplivity is from 2015, where it says it’s not.  Has this changed. If so, is there guidance on how the replication appliance is installed on a Simplivity Node and how does Zerto replication work with the dedup/compression of Simplivity?

    • Journal history question

I am having an issue with 2 VM’s that mention that the Journal history SLA cannot be met because the Journal size is not large enough. If I decide to lower the Journal History setting to several hours will I still be able to failover in the following scenario? The production environment is lost for […]

    • DNS Update After Failover

Hi, When we failover between sites, we update the IP address of the machines. It’s all working very well. However, some remote sites take some time to update DNS with the new addresses. What do others do around this issue?   Thanks, Ciarán

    • Can We Limit Alert Percentages?

We turned on e-mail alerts and we get a lot of messages that say “VPGNAME exceeds configured RPO of 15 minutes by more than 25%”.  Is there any way to limit the value so we don’t get messages that are below 50%?  This problem always self corrects before we can even do anything about it […]

    • V2V migration testing before final sync up

I want to know if Zerto has the feature which we require during V2V migration. Presently, we are doing migration of virtual machines on VMware from source Datacenter to target data center, using Zerto. Both source DC and target DC are located far away , in two different cities in US. We have good connectivity between […]

    • ZVM Syslog Intergration with nxLog

Hi together We have successfully implemented to sending logs from Zerto Virtual Manager to our Graylog Syslog Infrastructure. We have done this with nxlog and its csv extension. It is working fine except for one issue: All 10 minutes the ZVM writes multiline messages to the csv log (C:\Program Files\Zerto\Zerto Virtual Replication\logs): 00000000,00000000,18-04-27 13:48:42.31,I,389,VraInUseMapper,<.ctor>b__7_0,Begin Method: […]

    • SQL Server Indexing

All, We have a SQL Cluster consisting of 2 nodes, active/passive. We have followed the best practices guide and have configured the servers with an operating system disk, tempdb, paging, data, logging disks. The tempdb and paging disks are set to temporary disks. When nightly indexing happens, we see massive amounts of changes that our […]

    • SQL Logging Options

We are using the replication piece of Zerto only (no Zerto Backup). A question arose whether or not we should use the Full logging option in SQL or the simple logging option in SQL. My understanding is that the Full logging gives you a better chance at data recovery. Since Zerto is running every second, […]

    • Zerto resiliency

I’m looking for any information to help protect the zerto environment and a few things come to mind since we’ve been using it that i hope the community could help with.  Is there any way to make the loss of a VRA less impactful?  We lost a host recently and all the VPGs that were […]
