    • Azure NSG Rules

Zerto provides the following KB.  https://www.zerto.com/myzerto/knowledge-base/azure-endpoint-access-required-for-a-zca-running-zerto-for-azure/  But it does not translate to a Service Tag, so we can ensure NSGs are properly configured.  Does anyone know what NSG rules need to be in place for the install to work?  I know about the firewall/NSG rules for replication between ZCA, but fighting with the ZCA>Azure.

    • Zerto 9 Update 1 – New needed Azure permission

Hi All, A few days ago I upgraded to U1 and our replication broke to Azure. There was an error in Zerto along the lines of “we can’t spin up a new scale set” I have a support ticket opened but was able to figure it out myself using Google and trying a few things […]

    • Azure Site Recovery or Zerto?

Hello, We’re in process of evaluating potential disaster recovery solutions for a future Azure implementation. I am aware that Azure Site Recovery can perform replication of Azure VMs between two Azure regions so that a failover is possible in the event that the primary Azure region goes down. I’m having trouble evaluating if this is […]

    • Moving VMs between VPGs

My apologies if this has been covered, but my search didn’t find a previous thread. I need to move VMs between VPGs where the recovery site is Azure.  When I remove VMs from VPGs, it doesn’t prompt me to save the recovery disks so that I can use them for preseeding when adding them to […]

    • Quota Sizing in Azure

I apologize if I missed any information on this in documentation, but I don’t recall seeing anything other than a region quota of 100 and per family quota of 50.  I’m new to using Azure for recovery, and even with a small environment to recover, I am constantly running into errors trying to test failover […]

    • SQL AlwaysOn Failover

Does anyone have documentation on getting a SQL AlwaysOn group to fail over to Azure? I can get the nodes to fail over and come up.   I re-ip the listener but then nothing in Azure can talk to that listener IP. Microsoft directions say I need to setup a load balancer with the listener IP, […]

    • volume being added during failover?

I am working on a POC using Zerto to migrate Windows virtual machines from a VMWare on prem environment to Azure. I am running into a couple of issues with volumes that I was wondering if anyone has seen. The first issue is a new volume called “temporary Storage” mounted as drive d: that is […]

    • Server not getting failover IP

We ran a live failover and things went relatively well, but one of my servers did not get its failover IP correctly.  We have it configured for xxx.xxx.xxx.22, but when it came up on the Azure site, it had a xxx.xxx.xxx.24 address.  Has anyone seen this before and is there a solution for it?    […]

    • Defrag ran at the same time ZCA alerted disconnect

The Azure ZCA (target) servers occasionally will disconnect, which I have encountered because I am running 7.5U3.  However today when the ZCA disconnected it was a longer recovery then the other disconnects. I reviewed the event viewer on the ZCA and noticed that a defrag had ran at the same time I received the alert. […]

    • Zerto Virtual Manager is not connected to VRA

I create a Azure IaaS VM, installed Zerto, added license and paired the site with on-prem. Now I would like to add a VPG and protect machines but this wizard that I run from my internal Zerto manager states that the site in azure is disconnected. On the manager in Azure I see the following […]

    • Failback from azure replica to on premise directly

Hello. I have a customer who want to replication from on premise vcenter to azure with 15 minutes RPO. And they would like to failback directly from azure replica to on premise vcenter without the failover procedure and don’t want to bring new instance at azure. Is it doable? Thanks.
