    • VPG Settings migrated before VM migration

We are in process of moving over 1000 VM’s from one vCenter to another within the same Data Center. A number of the VM’s are being replicated to our DR site. We will need to re-setup those replication VPG’s again. Can we export the VPG settings now and re-import them into the new ZVM in […]

    • Zerto Point in Time Restore Guidance?

Does Zerto provide any machine learning guidance around point in time restores? Say a customer was affected by a scenario where multiple VMs were infected with Ransomware. Stepping thru 5 second checkpoints across several VMs would be very time consuming if you did not know when you were impacted on a per VM basis. Can […]

    • At what point does the physical write happens

Posting on behalf of David H.   At what point does the physical write to the replication sight happen during normal operations? Your VPG/VM’s are running normally; a change happens to any VM in the VPG, at what point does that change become written to the replicated sight?

    • vCenter Datastore Cluster for Journal Volumes?

We are protecting 110 VMs across 10 hosts.  Currently, we have about 150 journal volumes located on a dedicated datastore.  I’m planning on bringing up a dedicated Datastore Cluster for the journal volumes, so I can spread out the I/O between 8-10 datastores.  Just wondering if there’s any potential issues with this solution. Thanks.

    • Journal retention after site disconnetion

Assuming no LTR is in place, how long will journals be available on the DR site in the event of a disaster on the production site? Let’s say we have a planned outage to move equipment but we don’t want to initiate a failover. How long can that outage last and still be protected by […]

    • Hyper-V to Azure Replication

Does Zerto support automatic conversion of Hyper-V VMs using VHDX disks to Azure during replication??? I understand that now Zerto can protect Gen 2 VMs to Azure since Azure supports the same.  However, it seems Azure does not support VHDX volumes yet… If not, anybody has automated the process for replication???

Currently running Zerto 8.5. I have built my VPGs with VMs that are all a part of an application group. Is there a way to set the VPG to failover in a particular order?
