Converging external PSC and vCenter appliance
Hello – We are getting ready to converge our external PSC’s with our vCenter appliances as recommended by Vmware. Does anyone know of issues affecting Zerto with this? Or anything that needs to be reconfigured? We are running vcenter server appliance build 6.7.21000 and ZVR 6.0 Update 4 Patch 1.

Zver 6.0u4 and vCenter 6.7u2
Hello, I think we have to stay lock step with our DRaaS vendor for Zerto versions and 6.0U4 is the latest version we can move to for at least this year. That version is supposedly compatible with 6.7u1. Is there any chance we could do the supported_versions.txt file update to make it “compatible”. I’ve done […]

vSphere 6.5 U3 Compatibility
1
2
Hi. We just patched ESXi via Update Manager which has installed ESXi 6.5 U3 when we were previously on 6.5 U2. Now we’re getting an unsupported ESXi version. It appears that VMware must have released 6.5 U3 within the past week and there is no mention of it on Zerto’s compatibility matrix – not even […]

We are in the process of emptying out one of our array’s and I have some of my Z-VRA’s on it. When I try to Storage vMotion the Z-VRA’s it tells me that they are managed by Zerto and that I should leave them alone. Can I safely move them, or is there another option […]

Upgrading from v5.0 to v7.0
Hi, Reading the upgrade guide it looks like the best approach to proceed with the migration from v 5.0 (We know it has reached EOL) to v 7.0 is using the Zerto exporting/importing tool to save the VPG settings. Does anybody know if this way is supported? Our concern is based in how old is […]

Evacuating hosts / storage

Zerto Cloud Manager View Only Permission
What we’ve done… Enabled Zerto Cloud Manager’s Role-based permissions. Created a Zerto Viewers group in Active Directory and added users. Assigned the Viewer role in ZCM to the Zerto Viewers AD group. The issue we have is that when users in the Zerto Viewers group try to login to ZCM they receive an error: “Provide […]

Recently, my VSphere played up and we have some issues with ghost servers. So while trying to fix VSphere so we could fix the ghost servers, I went to clone a copy back at our DR site, but the option was missing till VSphere came back online. This showed me a flower in Zerto, it […]

Evacuate Host Question
I’m currently playing around with Zerto 7 in my lab, and had a question regarding the evacuate host feature. The feature moves all workloads off of a host to and “balances” the workloads across available hosts. I know the main purpose of using the feature is to clear a host, but the balance feature is […]
