    • Using Zerto to replicate AD/DC VMs

Hi all, i think the answer is yes it should be fine but just want to confirm.  If i’m replicating an organizations entire environment, maintaining IP address in the DR site, vcloud to vcloud.  DC shouldn’t have any issue coming up on the DR site in a full live failover?

    • Using Zerto to seed Replication

I have a scenario where I need to replicate 15 TB from the UK over a 20 Mbps connection. Can I use Zerto to replicate a copy of live VMs to a local NAS and then ship the NAS to my US data center to “Seed” the initial replication and then use Zerto to replicate […]

    • vsphere encrypted vmdk's

has anyone implemented zerto with vsphere encrypted vmdks? would assume that since zerto leverages as much of vspheres own tools this should be ok, and appears head and shoulders above bitlockering disks there should be little issue but wondering if anyone can confirm or deny it works properly without my having to rattle supports cage,

    • vSAN Storage Policy change

I noticed that there is no option to change the vSAN storage policy when replicating to vSAN.  It accepts the default storage policy.  As I am replicating some large VMs and space will be a little tight, rather than migrate –> cutover –> change policy from mirroring to erasure coding, can I just locate the […]

    • Zerto + Veeam

Hi All, Just a quick one has anyone had a client use Zerto to also replicate a Veeam Proxy server. These obviously attach disks to preform the required backup then removes them a short time later once the backup has been completed. As those newly attached disks sit in path has anyone seen issues in […]

    • no networks appear in vapp network mapping

we’ve recently deployed a ZCC to bridge a customers vCent environment to our vCloud Director environment. Customer is running vCent 6.0 with ZVM 4.5 whilst we are running vCloud Director 5.0 with ZVM 4.0. When customer creates a VPG they can cycle through the the wizard after selecting their source VM, the target site etc […]

    • How to get a clone of a VM at recovery site?

Hopefully I can explain this properly to get a good answer. We have a site that we are replicating to our production environment with the intent to fail over those servers permanently at the end of April to run in production. Before then, we need a local clone of a specific test server in the […]

    • Files corrupted after failover

Hi, Has anyone ever faced files corruption after the failover from one site to another? We recently migrated one server from one datacentre to another using Zerto and after migration some files were corrupted on FS level. Virtual machine was up and running, but some files inside of VM were missing or corrupted. I was […]

    • Site disconnection

Hi, we have successfully installed 4 vra on PROD and 3 vra on DR site. When we create a VPG on a vm which sits on one of the esxi host on PROD we are constantly getting site disconnection error. However when the vm is migrated to the other 3 host on PROD, it works […]

    • Changing UUID breaks VPG

As we are working within our new Zerto environment, we ran across a workload that required (for licensing) that the UUID of the VMs do not change when being orchestrated for testing recovery. We have found a solution to this problem by altering the source VMs to include the option “uuid.action = “keep” that will […]

    • Zerto in a multi-site VCSA

Aloha, We are moving from a 5.5/multi-vcenter to a 6.7U1 multi-site/single VCSA environment. At this point, I don’t see how Zerto would be configured. But first things first – trying to install Zerto on a new VM in the VCSA. I give it my root creds for the VCSA and the install throws an error. […]

    • VRA resources

Hi Group, I was wondering what everyone was doing for resources (CPU/Memory) on their VRAs?  Currently the default is 1 CPU and 3 GB of RAM.  I’ve just up the CPU to 2 and RAM to 8 GB.

    • Is there anyone using ZORGs with vSphere?

Hello, I was wondering if there is actually anyone out there using ZORGs along with vSphere? The use case that I have here is that if you use ZORGs you have to map resource pools to the ZORGs. However it is well known that using resource pool is not a neutral thing in case of […]
