Hi Support,
We are failovering from Hyper-V to VMware but in VMware the network adapter get’s an E1000. Is there a possibility that the a adapter becomes a VMXNET3 adapter?
Hello,
When failing back to VMware from Hyper-V, by default, the recovered VM uses the VMware Virtual E1000 network adapter. This is by design.

As for your question regarding changing the network adapter. Do you have VMware tools installed? You must install VMware Tools to have a driver for the VMXNET network adapter available. I’ve added a link to VMware article that has relevant information regarding your question:
