    Hi

    If we are not using any cloud platform (only our on-premise), is there any advantage to upgrade our one to many 5.0 to 5.5?a

    Hi Chen,

    Even without leveraging the cloud, upgrading to ZVR 5.5 has some key benefits:

    1. Hyper-V and VMware enhancements to support newer versions of their platform(s)
    2. Enhancements to VPG management including robust handling of virtual environment changes
    3. Auto-upgrade feature for your VRAs  to streamline upgrade cycles
    4. Additional APIs allowing for enhanced integration and automation
    5. Many, many more!

    You can read the release notes for each of our versions on myzerto/technical-documentation.

    Keep in mind that Zerto will fully support the latest version (including all its updates), and also the previous two versions (including all its updates).  In your case, you will be 2 versions behind next week when ZVR 6.0 is launched.  By the next release (Q2-3), we will begin to move away from support of ZVR 5.0.

    You still have some time, but I recommend your team begin to consider planning for product upgrades.
