Boot Order -failover vs roll back no commit
The forum ‘Support Q & A’ is closed to new topics and replies.
I have a VPG that has a set of servers that are getting booted up in a very specific order. If I fail it over to my DR site with no commit for testing, and I choose to just rollback , will the boot order continue as it did in the failover or is it random?
Hi Darren,
Is there a special reason you are powering off your protected VMs when you are performing fail over for testing purposes?
Since you are performing fail over only for testing purposes, you can leave the protected VMs powered on. This is the default configuration in the fail over wizard.

Not sure I follow you. Each machine that is failed over will be tested in many ways, RDP, Applications, Network communication, file access ect.. We have never had a test where the Production site machines stayed on.
Hi Darren,
Thank you for explaining your testing scenario.
I suggest you open a ticket with support if you need answer for your original question.
