Can Service Provider run ESXi 6.7 U3 if customer

  • Hi,

According to v6.5 “Interoperability Matrix for Zerto Environments” page 9 VMware ESXi 6.7 U3 will be supported starting from Zerto 6.5U4P1.

We as service provider run 6.5U4P1.
Customer who sends replicas to us is on 6.5U4.

Can we upgrade our ESXi hosts to 6.7 U3 and will Zerto replica keep on working or will it break as customer side is still on 6.5U4?

So will following setup work or not?
    Customer
    ESXi 6.5
    Zerto 6.5U4

    Service provider
    ESXi 6.7 U3
    Zerto 6.5U4P1

Hey there, this is Matt from Zerto support.

Zerto needs to communicate with the hosts not only on it’s own side, but on the replicated side. Therefore, your customer’s would need to be compatible with your new version of ESXi as well.

    Hope this helps!
