Detect new unprotected VMs

What I’m looking to do is somehow detect when a new VM has been created, and alert me, so I can determine if this new VM needs Zerto protection or not. I’m in a small shop where multiple people can create VM’s, and if I don’t know about it, Zerto protection won’t get configured.

Has anyone figured out a script or anything where it can email me a report of any new VM’s that it finds on a daily basis? Or any other creative solution to the same problem?
