Hyper-V without a SCVMM
The forum ‘Support Q & A’ is closed to new topics and replies.
We have a client who has some Hyper-V systems, but they are not running an SCVMM server to manage their Hyper-V hosts. We have to set their Hyper-V VMs up for DR using Zerto. Everything I am reading says an SCVMM is required, please confirm. If it is still possible, please let me know what my options are. Please be specific as I have very little experience with Hyper-V.
Hello,
This is AJ from Zerto Support. SCVMM is mandatory in Hyper-V in order for Zerto to function. A standalone host or Hyper-V Manager is not supported by Zerto.
Is SCVMM still necessary with version 8.5?
Hello,
Yes, Hyper-V is still required in the latest version of Zerto.
Thank you.
Hi Team,
Would like to confirm if the SCVMM is still a mandatory requirement for Zerto to be implemented with Hyper-v environment. The reason I am asking is that we are looking at migrate VMs from Esxi to Hyper-v. thanks a lot
Regards,
Ken
