IP renaming on Linux
The forum ‘VMware’ is closed to new topics and replies.
Hi all,
I was recently installing ZVR5.0
After installation, I began the advised tests listed in the documentation, but I found an issue when renaming NIC’s IP. It happened when the VM had more than a NIC, and when during the setting of VPG only one of them was configured with the new one, leaving the others with no config (maybe leaving them to be configured by hand). Furthermore, I disconnected that NICS, but found them reattached at destination.
Is it anything already known?
Thanks
Raffaello
Hey Raffaello,
Please can you confirm what the issue was? Can you also tell me what you are replicating from, to and what OS and version you are re-ip addressing? Zerto will always connect NICs in the DR site, even if they are disconnected in production. Is there any reason to have a disconnected NIC on a VM in the first place if its not going to be used in a DR site? Thanks,
Joshua
