I have zerto replications in progress but we are going to switch the network connectivity from VPN to MPLS, does that break anything?
Hi Irwin,
This depends on what’s the scope of the change in network connectivity.
Zerto products are agnostic to the network type, as long as the new network type can still deliver the dataflow as the previous one.
However, in practices, network type change might bring certain other changes to the environment in which Zerto products are deployed.
A simple and commonly-seen change is the allowed MTU on the network.
If any specific symptom showed up after the network type change, please feel free to raise service request to us.
Thank you.
Great, what if i change from VPN to MPLS?
Hi Irwin,
The change from VPN and MPLS itself doesn’t affect Zerto products.
It’s a change of network type. As long as nothing changes in connectivity, nothing will be affected in Zerto scope.
The example of MTU I mentioned in my previous reply means to show that the ramification of the change might be unpredictable.
If anything happened after the change, please feel free to raise service request to us.
Thank you.
