Offline Upgrade of Zerto Appliance
The forum ‘Self-Installation Questions’ is closed to new topics and replies.
I need to upgrade our Zerto Virtual Appliance from 10.0 U1 to latest 10.0 U2.
The problem ist that we have no direct internet connection. I found an article how to configure a proxy for all pods, but still the update fails.
DNS is also resolved via proxy, so ping or lookup of domains will fail.
I downloaded the upgrade package and .sig manually and put it in the upgrade directory, but in between the upgrade process the job exits with the following error:
ERROR: Failed to upgrade to zvm version 10.0.20.1643
ERROR: Failure reason: “Required TCP resources cannot be accessed: zertodownloads.s3.amazonaws.com:443, zapps.zerto.com:443, keyserver.ubuntu.com:80”
Is there a way to work around this problem?
Hello,
do you have a solution for that? I need also an option to upgrade them offline. I received all time same failure message: Upgrade validations failed. Reason: Required HTTP resources cannot be accessed: https://httpredir.debian.org/, https://security.debian.org/, https://zvml-upgrade.s3.amazonaws.com/
There should be a much easier way to apply updates. The ZVMA is not a very good experience so far.
Hello Colleages,
as far as I know:
https://help.zerto.com/bundle/RN.HTML.10.0_U3/page/what_s_new_in_zerto_10_0_update_3.html
ZVM Appliance now supports both online and offline clean deployment from Zerto version 10_U2 Patch 1. You can then upgrade to any later version. This feature is available from version 10_U2 Patch 1.

Sow how do you get off of 10.0U1 to 10.0U2 using offline media?
Hello,
I have the same issue. Is there anyone who knows how we can upgrade zerto appliance from 10.0.u1 to 10.0.u2 or later using offline media?
