    If the link between two sites is broken during an offsite clone of a VPG will the Clone operation fail?

    Hello,

    Yes, if the link between the two sites is broken during an offsite clone the operation will fail.

    The ZVMs must be connected in order to complete the offsite clone.

    Hi Atir,

     

    Thanks  for the fast answer seems like it shouldn’t as the clone take place purely on one site care to explain why the connection would be needed?

    Hello,

    Apologies for the misunderstanding,

    Offsite clone happens on the target site and gives you the option to choose a checkpoint to clone from.

    There is no need for a connection between the sites, even if the ZVM on the production site is down offsite clone is still possible.
