RDM access after failover

Has anyone had any issues with RDM’s after a failover?  We replicate a VM with its source RMD’s landing at secondary location as vmdk’s.  Failover went fine.  But, the application that uses the RDM’s(now vmdk’s) wouldn’t work with the vmdk’s.  We are in contact with the application vendor but I was checking to see if there is anything specific we need to do concerning Zerto.
