Supported Version for Hyper-V to VMware Migration
The forum ‘Support Q & A’ is closed to new topics and replies.
I’m working with a customer to migrate VMs from Hyper-V to VMware. The source site is Hyper-V 2012R2 manged by an SCVMM 1807 server and destination will be a new vCenter 7.0 and ESXi 7.0.
Looking at the interoperability matrix both Hyper-V 2012 R2 and vSphere 7.0 are supported by Zerto 7.5 U4 but I cannot see any mention of SCVMM 1807. Can this be used or do I need to upgrade/downgrade SCVMM first?
Hello Graham,
Contara from Zerto Support.
Base on the Zerto Interoperability Matrix for All Zerto Software Versions, I do not see SCVMM 1807 listed.
http://s3.amazonaws.com/zertodownload_docs/Latest/Zerto%20Virtual%20Replication%20Operability%20Matrix.pdf?cb=1601559695.
ZVM 7.5 Update 4 does support SCVMM 2012 and 2016 on page 29.
You can downgrade back to 2012 or upgrade to 2016.
On a side note, I don’t think SCVMM 1807 supporting Windows 2012. The version 1807 of the SCVMM management server is only compatible with Windows Server 2016 or higher.

Thank you.
