Upgrading from v5.0 to v7.0

Hi,
Reading the upgrade guide it looks like the best approach to proceed with the migration from v 5.0 (We know it has reached EOL) to v 7.0 is using the Zerto exporting/importing tool to save the VPG settings. Does anybody know if this way is supported? Our concern is based in how old is v 5.0 and the fact is no longer supported by Zerto.
thanks in advance

I’m in the middle of an upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 and I used import/export as well. works fine here.
As far as I experience you need 6.5 to upgrade to 7.0, so I upgrade first to that using export/import.
I think the safest way is following upgrade path:
5.0: export all VPG’s
remove VPG’s and keep all disks
upgrade to 6.0 and import VPG’s, let everything get in sync.
6.0: export all VPG’s
remove VPG’s and keep all disks
upgrade to 6.5 and import VPG’s, let everything get in sync.
6.5: export all VPG’s
remove VPG’s and keep all disks
upgrade to 7 and import VPG’s.
maybe it’s possible to upgrade directly to 6.5 from 5.0, in which case you can skip 6.0 part.
kind regards,
