VMX files
The forum ‘VMware’ is closed to new topics and replies.
Hi,
We’re browsing the replica datastores and we’re able to identify the .vmdk (in Z-VRA-hostname folder) and journal files (in ZertoVolumes folder) . But we are not able to find the .vmx files for each virtual machine.
does anyone know where we can find these .vmx files?
thanks in advance
Hi Ana – Zerto retains this information internally and updates it in the event that a protected VM is changed; the system automates the creation of the VM only when a user initiates an operation. A VMX is created at this point in time in vSphere (IE as part of the automated operation workflows).
Thanks a lot Justin!!
Happy to help! 🙂
