Hi, I created a VRA on my management Virtual Center Cluster to migrate / fail over a server to my production Virtual Centre. the fail over succeeded and i committed the change however, the original server was not removed from inventory on the Management cluster. This caused the migrated server to drop off the domain. My question is during the commit phase should the original guest be removed from the inventory on the source Virtual Centre?
Hello,
During the commit phase the original VM is not removed from the inventory on the source Virtual Centre.
If a virtual machine is protected in several VPGs, and Reverse Protection is selected, the virtual machine is removed from all of the VPGs containing the virtual machine, The journals of these VPGs are reset.
Are you doing a failover to a DC?
Did you set up a failover IP for that VPG?
