ZVM backup with VSS

    Hi team,
    We are backing up the Windows VMs that hosts our ZVM instances. Can you use VSS to perform application aware backups?
    My understanding is that it only really matters for things like SQL datatbases, but wanted to check and see if there was any benefit to using it on teh ZVM server.

    Hi,

    This is Kalsang from Zerto.

    Vss backups are mainly for SQL or large database applications. I wouldn’t suggest doing Vss for ZVM servers.
