Zerto Announces ZertoCON 2019 Featuring Speakers from Microsoft, IDC and the NFL

April 30, 2019

Zerto’s fourth-annual IT resilience conference will demystify new approaches to IT operations with accelerated transformation

BOSTON – April 30, 2019 – Zerto, an industry leader for IT resilience, today announced the full program for ZertoCON 2019 with legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning as the featured speaker. Additional keynote speakers include Lindsay Zwart, GM and COO of US Azure Cloud Business at Microsoft, and Phil Goodwin, Research Director at IDC.

In its fourth year, ZertoCON 2019 will focus on simplifying and accelerating IT resilience and transformation, with sessions and talks that will dive into data protection and legacy backup disruptions, best practices for accelerating cloud strategies and simple approaches to modernizing IT infrastructure. The conference will take place May 20-22 at the Nashville Music City Center, and this year’s theme, ‘Resilience Country,’ is a nod to Nashville as the new host city.

“It’s incredibly important to us that ZertoCON be a place where IT professionals can come to learn about the latest, most innovative technology and solutions, and leave the conference feeling inspired and empowered to implement new strategies that prioritize IT resilience,” said Ziv Kedem, co-founder and CEO of Zerto. “At the show, we’ll be talking about the success customers are already having using Zerto for backup and we will be previewing some of our future roadmap and integrations. We hope these discussions will help spark new approaches to IT operations and encourage IT to evolve from beyond backup and recovery, to true IT resilience.”

ZertoCON Speakers

Manning spent 18 years as a quarterback in the NFL, and in that time was named a Pro Bowler 14 times, the league MVP five times, took his team all the way to the championship game four times and broke numerous league and team records. As a featured speaker at ZertoCON, Manning will discuss leadership, on and off the field, how he became one of the most successful football players in history as well as his thoughts on how resilience played a role in his approach to each football game and his observations on how digital transformation has impacted the game.

As the GM and COO of US Azure Cloud Business, Zwart leads Microsoft’s US business, marketing and operations across the cloud and infrastructure portfolio of products. Prior to this role, she held several positions at Microsoft including the GM of the US National Sales Organization and the Dynamics Country Lead for New Zealand. Zwart’s keynote will focus on why digital transformation is a key priority for businesses right now and how technological advances in the cloud are empowering companies to transform. She will also discuss how investments and programs – like the partnership between Microsoft and Zerto – can also help companies undergo a successful transformation.

Goodwin has more than 30 years in the IT industry with 22 of those years focusing on the storage and data protection market. That experience serves him well now at IDC where he leads in-depth market research on cloud-based and on-premises data protection, business continuity, disaster recovery and data availability. He will be previewing the 2019 ‘State of IT Resilience’ survey results in a keynote session.
